Delete your PandaScan data
PandaScan by Panda Dev Lab keeps your scans on your own phone and, only if you turn it on, in your own Google Drive. We do not have a copy of your data on any server of ours, so you can delete everything yourself, straight away, with the steps below.
If you need help, write to support@pandalab.co.in with the subject "Delete my PandaScan data" and we will guide you within 7 days.
Delete single scans
- Open PandaScan and go to Vault (or Home).
- Tap the three-dot menu on a scan, or long-press several scans, and tap Delete.
- Deleted scans move to Settings > Recently deleted. Tap Empty there to remove them at once. Otherwise they are removed automatically after 30 days.
Delete your Google Drive backups
This only applies if you turned on Google Drive backup.
- In PandaScan, open Settings > Backup and restore and tap Turn off Drive backup, so no new backups are made.
- Open Google Drive and delete the folder PandaScan Backups. Then empty Drive's Trash, or Google removes it from Trash after 30 days.
- Optional: remove PandaScan's access to your Drive in your Google Account, under Security > Third-party apps and services.
Remove your Google account from PandaScan
- Open Settings in PandaScan.
- Tap Sign out on the account card at the top, and confirm.
This removes your name, e-mail address and profile picture link from PandaScan and stops Drive backup.
Delete everything
Open Android Settings > Apps > PandaScan > Storage and tap Clear storage, or uninstall PandaScan. When Android asks during uninstall, do not tick "Keep app data". Everything PandaScan stored on the phone is removed. Then delete your Drive backups as described above.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Deleted from the phone: scans and their pages, marks, signatures, folders, QR history, settings, PINs, and your Google account details in the app.
- Deleted from Google Drive: the backup files in the PandaScan Backups folder, when you delete them.
- Kept by Panda Dev Lab: nothing. We never receive your scans or account details, so there is nothing to delete or retain on our side.
- Kept elsewhere: backup files you saved yourself (for example in Downloads or on a pen drive) and files you shared with other apps stay there until you delete them.
